Melodreama is Melody Llewellyn. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, from a British father and a French mother. Subsequently taking extra curricular art courses in England and attending "Les Beaux-Arts" in Cannes, France. Primarily a painter and mainly self-taught, she persues her passion for art which her mother says she has had ever since she discovered "le crayon"! Her work is greatly influenced by urban, low brow and pop culture. She has a cheeky lighthearted approach to what some may see as juvenile imagery. The intent is to develop an instantaneous graphic idea/image that resonates with all. For her "art" is a backstage pass to a world where nothing has to make sense and there within lies the magic - Making it not too critical of analytical attention.
